This session is open to dads and male carers of children with SEND. Children are welcome to attend with their parent or carer, and refreshments will be available.
Full description
Fire Circle for Dads and Male Carers
A relaxed and welcoming space for dads, fathers-to-be and male carers of children with SEND to come together, talk openly, share experiences and connect with others beside a warm and mesmeric fire.
The session will be run as a Fire Circle: an informal group conversation where everyone has a chance to speak, listen and reflect. There is no pressure to share. You can simply come along, hear from other dads and be part of the conversation.
Whether you are a new dad, experienced father, stepdad, grandad, uncle, male carer or father figure, you are welcome.
The session is a chance to:
- Meet other dads and male carers
- Talk about fatherhood, family life, SEND and wellbeing
- Share ideas and experiences
- Slow down and reset around an open fire
- Build confidence and connection
- Find out about local support and activities for fathers in Hackney
