The route to an assessment via DCS is through MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) who triage referrals to the correct service. MASH officers understand asking for help if you have a disabled child or young person is often unrelated to safeguarding concerns and will tirage to DCS as appropriate.

Information and Access Team (IAT) is a “front door” service for Adult Social Care. The service provides information and advice on Adult Social Care services and related issues to the public and other professionals. All referrals including self-referrals can be made using the online referral form listed on Hackney Council’s adult services web page.
