Over the past few days, a number of important questions and concerns have been raised by parent carers regarding the upcoming Expert at Hand workshop taking place on 3rd June.
We welcome this feedback and understand the frustrations many families have expressed around the short timescales, accessibility of the meeting, and the wider consultation process. As Hackney’s Parent Carer Forum, HSPCF believes it is important to provide clarity around the purpose of the meeting, the current stage of the local authority’s work, and the role HSPCF has played in ensuring parent carers are included in discussions from the outset.
The information below aims to address the main questions raised and to reassure families that this is an ongoing process, with further opportunities for engagement beyond the initial submission deadline in June.
